- Serve as an effective organizational spokesperson for media and key stakeholders.
The Academy’s challenge with the Oscars in 2016 presented the perfect landscape for my skills and passion for storytelling to merge:
- Stakeholder Engagement (Academy members and critics of that membership),
- Public Relations (convincing the public that the pledge for diversity in the Oscars' nomination and awarding was authentic),
- Crisis Management (tackling the #OscarsSoWhite hashtag, and
- Policy and Governance (how would the Academy be accountable to the pledge).
